LEXINGTON COMMUNITY EDUCATION - THE FIVEASH LEGACY LECTURE
The Fiveash Legacy Lecture series continues with author Madeline Miller discussing The Song of Achilles on Tuesday, April 28th

This evening join best-selling author, Classicist, and educator, Madeline Miller as she discusses the importance of studying and teaching the Classics, and her process of blending scholarship and creativity to create The Song of Achilles.
Madeline Miller was born in Boston and grew up in New York City and Philadelphia. She attended Brown University, where she earned her BA and MA in Classics. For the last ten years she has been teaching and tutoring Latin, Greek and Shakespeare to high school students.

The Song of Achilles, her first novel, was awarded the 2012 Orange Prize for Fiction and was a New York Times Bestseller. It has been translated into twenty-three languages. Madeline was also shortlisted for the 2012 Stonewall Writer of the Year, and her essays have appeared in a number of publications. She currently lives in Cambridge, MA, where she teaches and writes.
This event will be held on Tuesday, April 28 from 7:00-8:30pm at the Lexington Depot, 13 Depot Square, Lexington. The cost of the event is $10.00.
