Lexington Education Foundation (LEF), a non-profit organization working to bring “Better Schools, Brighter Futures” to the Lexington Public Schools is $10,000 away from their STEM(Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) goal and is looking to the Lexington community to contribute and help the Lexington Education Foundation bring Better Schools and Brighter Futures to Lexington.
Thanks to the generosity of a group of Lexington families, your STEM Blitz donations will be doubled through a $25,000 matching grant. STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math, a key area in a 21st century education. Here is your chance to turn a $500 donation into a $1000 donation or $50 into a $100.
The money raised by your donations will go to support all nine Lexington public schools, helping pilot cutting edge technologies and innovative curriculum. These grants have supported a wide range of new tools and ideas, including a professional quality weather station for the high school earth science program, advanced training in mathematics instruction for our teachers, and a hands-on experience with Lexington's plants and animals for all elementary school children through our Big Backyard program.

Lexington Education Foundation was founded in 1989 to fund technology and curriculum innovations in all 9 Lexington Public Schools, for items that are not covered by the district’s operating budget. Grants are faculty-initiated, and all grant proposals are reviewed by LEF to ensure that we maximize the educational impact of the contributions we receive.
Since our founding, LEF has awarded grants totaling over $4,000,000. Funds are raised from individuals and businesses in the community. Grants can range in size and scope, but always focus on efforts that contribute to student achievement and the quality of our schools.
Lexington Education Foundation (LEF) is an independent 501(c)(3) charitable organization. LEF is not affiliated with the Lexington Public Schools.
