Lexington Girl Scouts Raise Cookie Dough for Their Troop

With the proceeds, the girls chose to give back to others and have some fun: They donated cookies to the Troops overseas, created birthday packages for nonprofit Birthday Wishes and donated pajamas and books to the Pajama Program.

Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts is proud to announce that Lexington Girl Scout Sarah Wojtczuk and Junior Girl Scout troop 63091 sold 1,938 boxes of Girl Scout cookies this year.

The Girl Scout Cookie program allows girls to set goals, learn money management, and develop marketing skills. The activity of selling cookies is directly related to the organization’s purpose of helping all Girl Scouts realize their full potential and become strong, confident and resourceful citizens.

Girl Scout troops use funds from the cookie activity to fund a service project or to plan for an exciting trip. With the proceeds they earned the girls chose to give back to others and have some fun. They donated cookies to the Troops overseas, created birthday packages for Birthday Wishes a non-profit that gives birthday gifts to homeless children and donate pajamas and books to the Pajama Program. They are going to celebrate their efforts at an overnight at Cedar Hill visit CoCo Keys Water Resort and Lazer Craze.
