Lexington Makes List Of Top 20 Best Small Cities: Report

Lexington was ranked number six out of the top 20 small cities in America.

LEXINGTON, MA — People across the country are settling into small cities and suburbs as an alternative to bustling big city life. A recent WalletHub report ranked the top 20 best small cities in the country and Lexington made the list.

WalletHub, a personal-finance website, compared more than 1,200 U.S. cities with populations between 25,000 and 100,000 across 42 key indicators of livability to create the prestigious list. They range from housing costs to school-system quality to restaurants per capita.

Lexington came in at number six with a total score of 70.55. Categories used to rank the municipalities include education and health, quality of life, and safety. Lexington received a rank of number two for safety, number five for health and education and 388 for quality of life.
