Arlington police said they arrested a career drug dealer and a buyer this week.
Johnny McCloskey (pictured), 26, of Medford allegedly sold a packet of heroin to Scott Pisano, 32, of Lexington, in the view of officers Wednesday night on Massachusetts Avenue, police said. Officers said they were in the area investigating reports of drug activity.
McCloskey is a “well-known” drug dealer with six opiate charges out of his hometown. He was charged with dealing heroin, clonazepam possession with intent to distribute, and dealing drugs near a school/park. Pisano was charged with heroin possession.

“We are in the midst of a nationwide heroin epidemic,” Arlington Chief Frederick Ryan said in a statement. “We will continue to go after those who profit from human suffering and the destruction of lives, families, and communities. In that regard, the public is our best weapon. The Arlington Police Department has build up tremendous partnerships with business leaders and residents who are unwilling to tolerate drug dealers in their neighborhoods.”
