Lexington Police Investigating Break-In at St. Nicholas Church

A safe was removed from the church, but was located in close proximity to the building.

LEXINGTON, MA — Lexington police are investigating a break-in at the St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church which is believed to have occurred between early Sunday evening and Monday morning, according to Lt. Christopher Barry.

Barry told Patch that a safe was removed from the building, but was located in close proximity to the church and was not compromised. No other churches or parishes reported any similar issues.

At this time, police believe the break-in to be an isolated incident.

The scene was processed by detectives and the incident remains under investigation, according to Barry.
