Lexington Police Officer Honored for Life-Saving Heroics

Officer Michael Bordenca helped save a man who collapsed on a bike path last month.

Lexington police recently honored Officer Michael Bordenca for helping save the life of a man who collapsed last month.

On Feb. 14, police received a 911 call about a man down on the bike path by Woburn Street. Bordenca arrived and used a defibrillator to shock the man’s heart. He continued CPR with the assistance of Sgt. Christina Demambro and the person who called 911. Firefighters transported the man to a local hospital and he survived.

“Thanks to the quick actions of (Bordenca), he was able to save the life of this patient,” police said.
