Lexington Police Stepping Up DUI Patrols This Month
It's part of the national "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over" campaign.

Lexington police this month will step up DUI patrols as part of the national “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign.
In 2012, 123 people were killed in Massachusetts in alcohol-involved crashes, according to federal statistics.
“All too often, innocent, law-abiding people suffer tragic consequences and the loss of loved ones due to this careless disregard for human life,” Lexington police Lt. Christopher Barry said in a statement. “Because we’re committed to traffic safety, we are intensifying enforcement during the crackdown. We will be especially vigilant during high-risk times when impaired drivers are most likely to be on our roads.”
