Lexington Ranked No. 3 Richest Community in MA

Lexington is among the 10 richest communities in Massachusetts, according to a new report.

The Boston Business Journal’s “Rich State, Poor State: The Most—and Least—Affluent Communities in Massachusetts” ranked Lexington the No. 3 most-affluent community. Dover was No. 1.

The report was based on 12 metrics. These are Lexington’s key statistics, according to BBJ:

• Population: 31,886
• Median household income: $139,561
• Median home value: $704,600
• Percent of workers earning $100,000+: 41 percent
• Adults with advanced degrees: 51 percent
