Lexington Ranks Second On Wallethub's List Of America's Best Small Cities For 2020

Following the announcement, Town Manager commented on what he thought made Lexington a desirable community to live, work, and visit.

Lexington recently ranked second on WalletHub's national list of 'Best Small Cities in America' for 2020.

"But wait, Lexington is a town!"--Correct! However, form of government wasn't considered as part of WalletHub's ranking, it is just a general term for 'community'.

According to their website, "WalletHub compared more than 1,200 U.S. cities with populations between 25,000 and 100,000 based on 43 key indicators of livability. They range from housing costs to school-system quality to restaurants per capita. Read on for the winners, additional insight from our panel of experts and a full description of our methodology."

Following the announcement, Town Manager James Malloy commented on what he thought made Lexington a desirable community to live, work, and visit. "The diversity of our residents plays a critical role in why Lexington is such a great community; having the involvement of residents with diverse backgrounds, experiences, and traits provides a broad perspective for community-based decision-making," he said.
