Lexington Recognized By Arbor Day Foundation As 'Tree City USA'

On June 2, 2020, we received notice of being named a 2019 Tree City USA by the Arbor Day Foundation.

We join over 3,600 other Tree City USA communities, with a combined population of 155 million. To be recognized, communities must have:

• A tree board or department
• A tree care ordinance (bylaw)
• An annual community forestry budget of at least $2 per capita
• An Arbor Day observance and proclamation
