Lexington Resident Named Obesity Society Fellow
Juliana Cohen is an assistant professor of health sciences at Merrimack College.

LEXINGTON, MA – A Lexington resident and assistant professor of health sciences at Merrimack College was recently named a fellow by The Obesity Society (TOS).
Juliana Cohen was awarded by TOS for her research and publications, some of which focus on children's nutrition and the consumption of healthier alternatives, particularly among economically vulnerable children.
"It is a huge honor to be recognized by The Obesity Society," Cohen, who has been a member of The Obesity Society since 2012, said in a statement. "It is truly rewarding to know that my research is making a difference in people’s lives, and that experts in the field are taking note of my contributions."

Cohen will be featured on The Obesity Society's web site and on its weekly eNewsletter. She holds a doctorate of science in nutrition and a masters of science in society, human development and health from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
The Obesity Society is the leading scientific society dedicated to studying obesity.
