Lexington Residents Invited to Participate in Dependable Cleaners Charitable Initiatives for Month of October

In honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Dependable Cleaners is partnering with the Ellie Fund and Brides Against Breast Cancer to raise funds for local families and ease their fight against breast cancer.

Throughout the month of October, Dependable Cleaners will offer 20 percent off the dry cleaning of all pink items. Five percent of the cost of dry cleaning these items will be donated to the Ellie Fund, a non-profit organization based in Needham, Mass. Dependable Cleaners has committed to raising a minimum of $1,000 for the Ellie Fund throughout the duration of the campaign. The local drycleaner has partnered with the Ellie Fund’s October Do Good Campaign over the past 3 years. Dependable Cleaners’ 16 locations are participating in the campaign, as well as their 30 home delivery areas.

Brides Against Breast Cancer and it’s “Nationwide Tour of Gowns” is making a tour stop in Boston, Mass. at the Hilton Boston Back Bay on October 11th offering hundreds of new or gently worn bridal dresses, so that brides-to-be can find their dream dress at a greatly reduced cost and make a difference. The organization and its wedding gown sales help fund programs and services that are free to cancer patients and their families.

Dependable Cleaners’ tailors and wedding gown specialists will be onsite for the event, providing cleaning and tailoring consultations to ensure future-brides are confident that the gowns they go home with will not only support an amazing cause but will dazzle on their day. Dependable Cleaners will also be providing free sample fittings in the dressing rooms so brides-to-be have a boutique like experience when shopping at a sample sale.
