Lexington Symphony Announces 2015-2016 Season

The Symphony will return to the newly renovated Cary Hall for its 21st season

Lexington Symphony will mark its return to Cary Hall in 2015–2016 with an ambitious lineup of great musical programs that will inspire, educate, and entertain people of all ages. Commencing on Saturday, November 7th with a bold tribute to the great Russian arts impresario Serge Diaghilev, the robust season will include family-centric programming, explorations of well-known classics, and an epic presentation by the biggest orchestra and cast of guest performers in Cary Hall history.

“Families with children of all ages will make lasting memories at our Holiday POPS! concerts, and be entertained and informed about the magic music lends to the movies at our Music from the Movies event,” says Lexington Symphony Music Director Jonathan McPHee. “Lexington Symphony and Symphony New Hampshire will join together with a fabulous cast of renowned international artists to present The Essential Ring, Part 1 — a selection of the greatest music from Richard Wagner’s Ring Cycle. We’ll also explore classics by Felix Mendelssohn and Norman Dello Joio, revisit a composition created for us by Michael Gandolfi, and break down the barriers between orchestra and audience at our annual Concert in the Round.” Detailed program information for Lexington Symphony’s 2015–2016 season is available online at www.lexingtonsymphony.org.

All concerts for Lexington Symphony’s 2015–2016 season will be held at Cary Hall, 1605 Massachusetts Avenue, Lexington, MA. Pre-concert Conductor’s Talk with Music Director Jonathan McPhee will be offered one hour before all performances, with the exception of Holiday POPS! and Music from the Movies concerts.
