Lexington Teen Charged with Rioting at Keene Pumpkin Festival

A Barnstead, NH, man also charged.

The Keene Police Department is continuing to hunt for people who were allegedly involved in the Keene Pumpkin Festival riots last month and have netted two more this week, according to a report in The Keene Sentinel.

Michael Schultz, 21, pictured left, a Keene State College student, was arrested on Nov. 6, and charged with one count of disorderly conduct. Also arrested yesterday was Michael Rosa, 19, pictured right, of Lexington, MA, a UNH student, who was charged with criminal mischief.

According to the police, Rosa allegedly forcibly removed a city road sign from the ground during the rioting on Oct. 18, while Schultz allegedly climbed on a light post on the KSC campus.

Both will be arraigned on Dec. 9.

The arrests are the latest by the department after investigators, New Hampshire State Police, and other agencies, began to piece together photos of the rioting on social media sites and released a list requesting information about the identities of around 24 people. So far, nearly 100 people have been arrested, according to press reports.
