Lexington Teen Featured in Concord Youth Theatre's "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown"

CYT presents "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown," October 14-18 at 358 Baker Ave., Concord, MA. Tickets are $13. www.concordyouththeatre.org

Lexington student Henry Hoffman will be featured in the upcoming production of Concord Youth Theatre’s “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown,” a revised version of the 1967 musical comedy with music and lyrics by Clark Gesner, based on the characters created by Charles M. Schulz in his comic strip PEANUTS. Including favorite songs such as ‘Happiness’ and ‘Suppertime,’ “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown,” is a typical (i.e., difficult) day in the life of Charlie Brown. His kite won’t do what he wants it to. He makes the final out in a baseball game he could have won. He doesn’t have the nerve to talk to that little red-haired girl. He finds that few kids like him – but by show’s end, even antagonistic Lucy asserts, “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown.”

The 15-actor cast portraying the wealth of memorable Schulz characters also includes young people from Acton, Ayer, Bedford/Hanscom, Carlisle, Concord, Harvard, Lincoln, Stow, Sudbury and Wayland.

Under the direction of Carly Evans with music direction by Jane Raithel, performances run October 14-18, 2015 (Wed-Sat, 7:30pm; Sat-Sun, 2:30pm) at Concord Youth Theatre’s, 358 Baker Avenue black box theater in Concord. Tickets are $13 each and may be purchased online at www.concordyouththeatre.org or by calling the CYT box office at 978-371-1482. The performance is recommended for ages 4 and up.
