Lexington Weather Update: Severe T-Storms

Severe thunderstorms are expected to hit the region Tuesday.

The worst is expected Tuesday afternoon. Wind gusts will hit 30 mph and there could be hail. according to the National Weather Service.

This is the latest forecast:

• Monday: Slight chance of afternoon showers. High of 79 degrees, low 62.
• Tuesday: Rain and thunderstorms likely in the afternoon, with the most severe storms from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. 30 mph wind gusts; hail possible. High 86, low 62.
• Wednesday: Sunny. High 79, low 59.
