Lexington Wins High School Quiz Show
The Lexington Minutemen claimed the WGBH High School Quiz Show Championship on Saturday.

LEXINGTON, MA—The Lexington High School academic team took the top prize of WGBH's High School Quiz Show on May 21, marking Lexington's first championship.

The team was represented by students Colin, Devin, Krishna and Ravi, and coached by Social Studies teacher Bill Cole and Chemistry teacher Keri Darling. Lexington later challenged the Granite State Challenge champion Nashua South High School, and came on top of that competition as well, taking home the Governor's Cup.

“Congratulations to the students from Lexington High School who rose to the challenge ofHigh School Quiz Show’s academic rigor,” said WGBH President and CEO Jon Abbott in a statement. “The depth of knowledge that Massachusetts students showcase on WGBH’s academic competition is a testament to their dedication and ambition.”
Lexington High School topped Advanced Math and Science Academy in the final round after besting Belmont High School in the semifinal round.
