Lexington's Revolutionary Revelry: Upcoming Events This Weekend
Here are some of the events coming up this weekend during Lexington's Revolutionary Revelry.

LEXINGTON, MA—May is Revolutionary Revelry month in the Town of Lexington, and the town is celebrating arts, culture and recreation this month.
Saturday also marks the start of Bike Walk 'n Bus Week, which aims to celebrate the many alternative transportation resources in town.
In celebration of Revolutionary Revelry, The town will be holding numerous events nearly every day this month. Here are some upcoming events this weekend, according to the Town Website.:

Spend the day enjoying Lexington's beautiful open spaces, and the work of local visual and performing artists. Find your way to the historic Lexington Battle Green, just off the Minuteman Bikeway to get started with an itinerary of all performances and installations!

Bike Art Contest

Find your self an old bike, or some bike parts and get creative! Or, get your current bike and spruce it up with some paint, needlework, or recycled materials. The possibilities are endless for turning bikes into art!

Without the spine-tingling, pulsing bass notes of John Williams’s Jaws theme, those Steven Spielberg beach scenes would have seemed just like any other day at the beach! Featuring some of the greatest music ever written for the big screen, our Music from the Movies concert explores the important role music plays in setting the scene and telling a story via the medium of film.

Hidden Treasures

A region-wide celebration of the natural, cultural and historic “treasures” located within the Freedom’s Way National Heritage Area, Hidden Treasures 2016 features a unique variety of regional treasures to explore during eight days of creative, community organized and presented activities offered free of charge.

Tap Into History Parade & Performance
12:00 p.m., Free
Spontaneous performances of the classic shim-sham shimmy accompanied by the William Diamond Jr. Fife and Drums Corps. Everyone's invited to join in on the fun! The parade begins at 12 noon at the Fairgrounds, then proceeds along Massachusetts Avenue and ends at the Lexington Visitors Center. At the end of the tap parade at approximately 12:30 p.m. there will be a performance of classic tap choreography at the Lexington Visitors Center.

An Evening with Justin Hayward of The Moody Blues
