Man Swipes Tip Jar from Lexington Center Starbucks

A man in his mid-20s with short dark hair recently swiped the tip jar from the Starbucks on Massachusetts Avenue in Lexington Center, according to police.

In the last month, two other tip jars have been taken from Boston-area Starbucks by suspects matching this same description.

Police said the man made off with about $20 worth of tips from the Lexington coffee spot last Tuesday evening. After swiping the jar at about 7 p.m., he bolted out the store’s rear door, according to police.

The man was described as a 6-foot, white male with a tattoo on his left arm, and he drove off in either a tan or gold Lexus on Massachusetts Avenue toward Arlington.
