Mandala Workshop starts Thursday, October 9th and will meet for 4 weeks from 7:00 - 9:00 pm.
“Mandala” comes from the classical Indian language of Sanskrit and, loosely translated, it means “circle”. A Mandala, however, is far more than a simple shape and represents wholeness that can be seen as a model for the organizational structure of life itself. Join us as we delve in to Mandalas in various cultures and explore the purposes that they serve. We will look at natural mandalas that appear in all aspects of life: the celestial circles that we call earth, sun, and moon, as well as conceptual circles of friends, family, and community. Mandalas have been used in healing for centuries, by cultures the world over, because of their transformative effect. You will be guided through the process of making your own mandalas as well. No art experience is necessary.
