"The Many Faces of Addiction: What We Should Know" on May 3 at Temple Isaiah

Temple Isaiah in Lexington is presenting a free program "The Many Faces of Addiction: What We Should Know" on Sunday May 3 at 2:00–5:00 pm.

Dr. Kevin Hill, Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School and Director of the Substance Abuse Consultation Service at McLean Hospital in Belmont, will be keynote speaker for “The Many Faces of Addiction: What We Should Know” Sunday, May 3, 2:00-5:00 pm at Temple Isaiah in Lexington. He will give an overview of the current state of our knowledge about addiction as an illness, including treatments that are effective and some important societal issues. The program will also include a speaker with lived experience, who will share her story of living with addiction and the process of recovery. On the panel for the question and answer session will be Joseph Scholl, LICSW, formerly case manager and currently leader of Family Education and Support Group in the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Treatment Program at McLean Hospital. This free program is co-sponsored by the Temple Isaiah Mental Health Initiative and McLean Hospital, NAMI Central Middlesex, and the BU Center for Psychiatric Rehabilitation.
