MBTA Alert: Buses Replacing Red Line Between Alewife, Harvard This Weekend

The change will be in effect Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 29 and 30.

Buses will replace Red Line trains between Alewife and Harvard stations, both directions, from the start to end of service on Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 29 and 30, according to the MBTA.

The change is due to the “Floating Slab Project” and will occur again in two weeks, Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 13 and 14.

Buses will stop at Alewife, Davis, Porter and Harvard stations – all buses will be accessible for persons with disabilities. Regular service will resume Monday morning.
