MBTA Shuts Down Rail Service Tuesday Due to Snow
Buses will be available "on an extremely limited basis."

All MBTA rail services will be suspended at 7 p.m. Monday. This means no subway, trolleys or Commuter Rail trains will depart Boston after 7 Monday night, and all day Tuesday.
Limited MBTA bus service will continue until the end of regular service hours, but customers are advised that connections to subway and Commuter Rail lines will not be available.

UPDATED: MBTA officials announced late Monday afternoon that at T service would be suspended all day Tuesday in a statement:
“On Tuesday, all MBTA rail services (Subway, Trolley, and Commuter Rail) will be suspended all day while maintenance crews continue to clear snow and ice from tracks, the third rail and switches. Mechanical forces will continue to assess the damage done to subway cars, trolleys, locomotives and passenger coaches.

Bus service will be available on an extremely limited basis with various buses on snow routes Buses will run with delays due to traffic congestion and local street conditions.
PLEASE NOTE: Bus customers will not be able to make transfers at customary intermodal points due to the suspension of rail service. Customers need to be aware of this before starting their commutes.
