Memorial Day Concert at Minute Man NHP

The US Air Force Band of Liberty will perform its annual Memorial Day concert at Minute Man next Monday.

This Memorial Day, Minute Man National Historical Park will once again present the United State Air Force Band of Liberty in a special concert on the grounds of the Visitor Center on Route 2A in Lexington.

The free concert will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, May 30, with parking available at the center as well as across the road at

This is the eighth annual Memorial Day concert by this outstanding group of professional musicians from Hanscom Air Force Base. And the concert promises to appeal to all musical tastes, with a set list ranging from classics to pop.

"We really enjoy hosting our next-door neighbors from Hanscom,” said Park Superintendent Nancy Nelson. “This event has been growing in popularity -- last
year was the biggest audience we've ever had.  It has become a tradition
and we are glad that the Band of Liberty always reserves Memorial Day for
us."

The program will feature everything from an operatic overture by Guiseppe Verdi to Patriotic music to a unique “ Concerto for Cell Phone."

At 3 p.m., the band, park officials and attendees will join all of America to pause in silence for a “National Moment of Rememberance.”
