Merrimack Valley Philharmonic Features the Treble Chorus of New England For its March 15th Concert

Merrimack Valley Philharmonic Concert Features the Treble Chorus on March 15th at the Rogers Center at Merrimack College

The Merrimack Valley Philharmonic Orchestra is pleased to feature the Treble Chorus of New England (TCNE), led by Artistic Director, John Middleton-Cox. The director, a trained tenor from Crane School of Music and Boston Conservatory, has composed and produced an original musical, has collaborated with Broadway Actor/Director Russell Garrett, and has been featured in a Musical Theater symposium at Berklee College of Music. The orchestra is pleased to perform Vivaldi’s “Gloria in D” in concert with this very talented vocal youth group.

Spanning a 39-year history, TCNE has performed a diverse program of music, which includes opera all the way to professional collaborations. The organization’s mission is to inspire students to develop a lifelong passion for music. The youth members of this group, ranging in age from 7 to 19, come from over 35 locally diverse communities. Through performance preparation, the students learn vocal training along with teamwork, confidence and creativity. The group has performed at Boston’s Symphony Hall and has recently toured destinations such as England, Austria, Italy and Ireland.

This concert will also highlight the orchestra, performing Respighi’s “Ancient Airs and Dances Suite No. 1” and the Vaughn Williams “Symphony No. 2 (London)”, under the direction of George Monseur. Don’t miss this special event!
