Ephraim Curtis Middle School

On Sunday, September 20th, Sudbury will host our third inaugural <a href="https://kids.pmc.org/sudbury" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Sudbury PMC Kids Bike Ride</a>.&nbsp;Our ride is a 1-mile loop that riders may enjoy as long as they would like. The one mile course is entirely paved and loops through the beautiful residential neighborhoods of historic Sudbury. Parents are welcome to ride with their children but it is not required. If a parent chooses to accompany their child on the bike, we ask that they register as volunteers.&nbsp;
Many kids choose to ride the loop 3-6-12 or even 15 times. We encourage riders to participate as long as they would like. We will have special badges for riders who accomplish 5-8-12 and 15 miles, too! Please indicate at registration an estimate of your rider's total distance (this will help us for event organization).&nbsp;There is also an enclosed parking lot loop all starting from Curtis Middle School in Sudbury, MA. (Adults may opt to register as volunteers if they would like to ride with the kids). Before the ride there will be music and bike decorating; during the ride and following there will be an Ice-Cream Truck, Food Truck, Coffee Truck, huge bouncy castle, lawn games, music and more. All registered riders will get a free ice cream from our friends at Trombetta’s Farm Ice Cream. Registration takes place from 8:30am-9:45am. The ride is from 10:00am-11:30am, and food and games will be available from 10:00am - 1:00pm.

Always held the first weekend in August, the PMC raises funds for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, a world leader in adult and pediatric cancer treatment and research. Each summer, thousands of riders and volunteers from 43 states and 12 countries participate in the PMC, all with a common goal: to find a cure for cancer.
100 percent of all rider-raised funds go directly to cancer research and treatment at Dana-Farber and the Jimmy Fund. The PMC is Dana-Farber’s single largest supporter and is 62 percent of the Jimmy Fund’s annual revenue. Since 1980, the PMC has raised $972 million for Dana-Farber.”
The Sudbury PMC Kids Bike Ride empowers young participants to contribute to a meaningful cause while enjoying a fun activity. By offering multiple course options, every child will have the opportunity to participate and make a difference - regardless of age or ability. Each ride distance is carefully planned to be safe and enjoyable, with designated routes through historic Sudbury neighborhoods that are well-marked and closely monitored by volunteers. For the youngest participants, the tot lot loop provides a secure environment where kids can ride in a contained area - strollers, scooters, tricycles are ALL welcome!
Beyond the joy of bike riding, the Sudbury PMC Kids Bike Ride serves as a powerful educational experience for children, teaching them about the impact of collective efforts in fighting cancer. As they pedal for a purpose, they learn about empathy, community involvement, and the importance of supporting breakthroughs in treatment and cures at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. This event not only raises crucial funds for cancer research but also instills valuable life lessons in the young riders; collectively we all pedal towards a more cancer-free future. As with all PMC rides, every penny donated goes directly to cancer treatment and research at Dana-Farber.

Kerem Shalom—Vineyard of Peace—of Concord warmly invites the community to join us for services and special programs for High Holy Days 5787!
We welcome non-members and friends to join Rabbi Darby Leigh and Cantorial Solist Molly Bajgot in uplifting and spiritual prayer and song as we welcome the new year together. Service will be held both in-person with ASL&nbsp;and online, with live captioning.

6:30-9 pm – Community Service In-person with ASL&nbsp;and online, with live captioning for those attending via Zoom Childcare will be available for younger children; advance registration is required.

8:30-9:15 am – Early Childhood Family Service In-person and online
10 am-12:30 pm – Community Service In-person with ASL&nbsp;and online, with live captioning for those attending via Zoom.&nbsp; Childcare will be available for younger children, and a breakout session will be offered for older children. Advance registration is required for both.
12:30 pm-1 pm – Yizkor (Memorial Service) In-person and online, with live captioning for those attending via Zoom.&nbsp; Childcare will be available for younger children, and a breakout session will be offered for older children. Advance registration is required for both.
2-3 pm – Torah Study with LilyFish Gomberg In-person only
3-4 pm Contemplative Chanting Circle with Molly Bajgot In-person only
4-5 pm – Musical Musaf Service with the Tiferet Quartet&nbsp; In-person only
5-6 pm – Mincha (Afternoon Service) In-person and online, with live captioning for those attending via Zoom. Childcare will be available for younger children; advance registration is required.
6-7 pm – Neilah (Closing Service) In-person and online, with live captioning for those attending via Zoom. Childcare will be available for younger children; advance registration is required.
7-7:20 pm – Havdalah In-person and online, with live captioning for those attending via Zoom. We encourage you to bring your children to this service Light snacks will be available after Havdalah.&nbsp;

This September, The Children’s Room is bringing our community together in Arlington for a special 3-mile Community Walk marking 30 years of grief support.
Join us for a family-friendly day featuring games, remembrance activities, food and drinks, and a walk along Massachusetts Avenue. Whether you know The Children’s Room well or are discovering us for the first time, everyone is welcome.
For 30 years, TCR has provided grief support to children, teens, and families after the death of someone close to them. <a href="https://childrensroom.org" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Our services are offered free of charge</a>, made possible by the generosity of our community.
By registering, fundraising, or donating, you can help ensure that families who need grief support can continue to access it at no cost.

Join NobleSpirit at the Spellman Museum for a special Appraisal Roadshow and discover the stories — and potential value — behind the items you’ve collected, inherited, or tucked away over the years.
Guests are invited to bring a wide variety of collectibles and historical material for evaluation, including stamps, coins, paper money, gold &amp; silver jewelry, space &amp; aerospace memorabilia, vintage technology and computing, signed material and autographs, cryptology and code-related artifacts, pop culture collectibles, and historical artifacts.
Whether you’ve inherited a collection, are downsizing, settling an estate, or simply want to learn more about an unusual item, our specialists will be available to help identify, evaluate, and provide insight into what you have.
