Mount Auburn Hospital Merges with Parmenter

The merger forms the CareGroup Parmenter Home Care & Hospice, a Subsidiary of Mount Auburn Hospital

Mount Auburn Hospital President and CEO Jeanette Clough and Parmenter Home Care & Hospice CEO Denise McQuaide have announced the formation of CareGroup Parmenter Home Care & Hospice Inc., a subsidiary of Mount Auburn Hospital.

This new healthcare entity has been designed to meet the growing needs of the Greater Boston and the suburban communities West of Boston, benefiting from the combined strength of this comprehensive network consisting of acute, post-acute and expanded community health services. It is a merger of CareGroup Home Care, a Mount Auburn Hospital affiliate, and Parmenter Home Care & Hospice.

The merger is a marriage of strengths. CareGroup Home Care had been looking to add hospice services and Parmenter Home Care & Hospice had been looking to partner with a leading care system. Together, as CareGroup Parmenter Home Care & Hospice, they will now be able to offer hospice services to an expanded community of patients and families.
