New Wegmans Opening Sunday

The opening of Wegmans Burlington is fast approaching. The long-awaited, 135,000 square foot market will open its doors on Sunday, Oct. 26 with its grand opening at 7 a.m. Wegmans Burlington is located at 53 Third Ave. Store hours will be Sunday through Saturday 6 a.m. to midnight.

Store Manager Kevin Russell and his team of 600 employees have been working for months to get the store ready for customers when the third Massachusetts Wegmans opens in Burlington this weekend. Wegmans’ first location opened in Northborough in 2011, followed by an opening in Newton last spring. Wegmans is expected to open a fourth location in Westwood in 2015.

“We can’t wait to meet our new customers,” says Store Manager Kevin Russell. “We’ve been training and preparing for months all with one goal in mind: to make each customer’s shopping experience easy and fun.”
