Open House at Munroe Center for the Arts
Lexington Arts Center offers classes in visual arts, music, dance and martial arts; free performance series.
Home to five schools and ten artists’ studios, the Munroe Center for the Arts at 1403 Massachusetts Ave., Lexington, throws wide its doors on Saturday, August 22 from 10-1 for its annual Open House.
Free events include the opportunity to try your hand at the potter’s wheel or hand-building with clay; observations of dance classes in tap, jazz and ballet; martial arts demonstrations; demo classes and opportunities to register for classes at ArtSpan, The Dance Inn, Elite Freestyle Karate, Lexington Music School and Lexington School of Ballet.
Munroe studio artist Ambreen Butt displays a mosaic created for a commission for Art in Embassies; several Munroe studio artists welcome visitors to their studios and have art for sale.
