LEXINGTON, MA—One of the most exciting and memorable times of the year in Lexington is upon us. Patriots' Day is nearly here!

The schedule of events in Lexington was jam-packed this weekend, with nearly every minute of the weekend filled with fun and educational options for the whole family.

Patriots' Day on Monday represents the pinnacle of the celebrations. Here is the schedule of events, courtesy of the Lexington town website.

Monday

5:30 AM “The Alarm” at the Old Belfry - free
Belfry Hill, Massachusetts Ave at Clarke Street across from the Battle Green.
Come ring the bell that sounded the Alarm that the British were coming

5:30 AM Reenactment of the Battle of Lexington on the Battle Green - free

11:15 AM – 12 PM Annual Patriots’ Day Handbell Concert of Patriotic and American music -donation
The concert is family-friendly and includes music played on 5 octaves of hand bells and 6 octaves of hand chimes, sure to please all ages: jazz by Duke Ellington, American rag, movie music, spirituals, and patriotic songs.
Suggested donation of $3 per person to benefit the Russell School in Dorchester after school music program.

12 PM – 1 PM US Army Old Guard Patriotic Performance - free

A historic outdoor performance by the Army’s Third US Infantry Regiment (the Old Guard). Members of the Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps and Commander-in-Chief’s guard from Ft. Myer, VA demonstrate the precision and discipline embodied in army soldiers for over 240 years.
