Gary Lerner joins the Waltham-based Tego as VP of Market Development.

The following announcement was provided on behalf of Waltham-based Tego, Inc.
Tego, Inc., the leading provider of RFID smart asset solutions, has announced industry expert Gary Lerner is joining the company as Vice President of Market Development to lead Tego’s smart tag solutions for life sciences.
A Lexington resident, Lerner brings expertise in serialization and supply chain integrity solutions focused on the challenges of visibility, control and compliance in life sciences markets. Over a 12-year period he has developed anti-counterfeiting, tamper resistant and track/trace strategies for more than 45 leading brands around the world, serving the needs of pharmaceutical, medical device, electronics and consumer goods manufacturers. Lerner will work closely with companies to automate process events and establish supply chain excellence in fields that commonly involve gamma radiation exposure, extreme temperature variation and other harsh conditions – Tego’s rugged RFID solutions are uniquely able to survive the operating environment of life science applications.

“Gary has a deep understanding of the form and substance required of solutions that leverage Tego technology to bring unprecedented visibility to supply chain activities in medical, pharmaceutical and related markets,” said Timothy Butler, Tego President and CEO. “Distributed elements of the supply chain can be interconnected to provide unrivaled interactive access to part identification, production data, configuration control, certificates of compliance, shipping history, and service records.”
“The demand for trackable products and intelligent packages enabling safe, secure and agile supply networks is an exciting opportunity,” Lerner said. “The ability of Tego chips to empower assets with long life memory, interoperate with information systems and survive high doses of radiation will bring real-time clarity and control to supply and distribution challenges faced by pharmaceutical, medical device and diagnostic manufacturers. Tego solutions will fundamentally change how RFID can be used.”
