Police Log: Internet Fraud and Expensive Earrings Reported Missing
The following information from Jan. 17 to Jan. 19 was provided by the Lexington Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Tuesday, Jan. 17
2:15 a.m. – A cruiser checked out a car with an open door on Meriam Street.
2:35 a.m. – A cruiser checked out a vehicle with a door ajar on Grove Street.

10:02 a.m. – A Munroe Road resident reported an attempted Internet fraud involving a mailed check for alleged overpayment. Bank and postal inspectors were following up on the case, according to the police report.
6:45 p.m. – Lexington detectives traveled to Lowell and arrested Robert J. Dussault, 44, of 112 Woburn St., on a warrant breaking-and-entering during the daytime and larceny over $250. According to the incident report, local detectives, with assistance from Lowell Police, located Dussault at a friend’s house on Hildreth Street in Lowell and arrested him in connection with an alleged breaking-and-entering that occurred last week on Robinson Road in Lexington. Dussault was subsequently charged with a Salisbury warrant for breaking and entering during the daytime and defacing property and a North Andover warrant for breaking and entering and larceny.

7:23 p.m. – Police responded to a reported domestic dispute on Lowell Street.
Wednesday, Jan. 18
7:39 a.m. – Police responded to a reported mother-daughter domestic on Hayes Lane.
1:40 p.m. – Police responded to a reported disabled vehicle on Mass Ave.
7:36 p.m. – A Viles Road resident reported that, sometime between Jan. 3 and Jan. 17, someone took four pairs of earrings valued at $7,000. There was no sign of forced entry.
9:08 p.m. – A cab driver reported a fare evasion after reportedly waiting four hours outside of a Bedford Street office building for a rider who rode out from Cambridge and asked the cabbie to stand-by for payment.
Thursday, Jan. 19
7:37 p.m. – Police responded to a report that lumber fell from a truck in the area of Bedford Street and Harrington Road.
2:01 p.m. – A change purse was reported lost on Baskin Road.
2:33 p.m. – A cruiser checked out a report of a Fiske Road neighbor not seen for a few days.
3:55 p.m. – A cruiser checked out a report of people skating on the ice on Marrett Road.
6:27 p.m. – Officers investigated a motor vehicle accident in the area of Mass Ave and Curve Street.
8:48 p.m. – A suspicious person was reported on Brandon Street.
