A baby girl, a baby boy
The day has arrived- oh what a joy!
I should be so happy,
There should be little stress.
Why, oh why, do I feel like such a mess?
The “Baby Blues” affects up to 80% of mothers and generally resolves itself within 2 weeks after childbirth. Postpartum Stress Syndrome or Adjustment Disorder may take effect subsequently, leaving mom to feel irritable, guilty, extremely stressed, or even like an unfit mother or wife. This is the optimal time to seek support.
