Sensei Nathan Porter of New England Movement Arts Hosts Action-Packaged Ninja Event at Barnes and Noble

Sensei Nathan Porter of New England Movement Arts hosts an action-packed Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle (TMNT) themed ninja event.

Cowabunga, dude! Sensei Nathan Porter of New England Movement Arts hosted an action-packed Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle (TMNT) themed ninja lesson at Barnes and Noble on August 8, 2014. The TMNT lesson was one of a series of Pop Culture events hosted by the popular bookstore in Burlington, MA. Forty little ninjas attended the fun-filled event, where Porter taught different kicks and punches, martial arts combinations, and exciting facts about the famous cartoon series.
Nathan Porter is the Co-Owner and Chief Karate Instructor of New England Movement Arts (NEMA), a rapidly growing, 18,000 square foot, multi-activity facility located in the heart of the Middlesex County community. The NEMA facility, which includes a martial arts dojo, two large dance studios, a black box performance theater, a gymnastics/fitness room, and a brand new kids playspace, offers youth and adult classes that cater to all experience levels and to both recreational and pre-professional students.
Porter, a former National Karate Champion and World Martial Arts Federation inductee for Excellence in Youth Instruction, brings over 15 years of martial arts training to the Burlington studio and joins a unique staff of seasoned professionals, consisting of retired principal ballet dancers from Romania and international and national gold, silver and bronze medalists in ballet, fencing, Taekwondo, Tai Chi, rhythmic gymnastics, and Kung Fu. Together, the New England Movement Arts instructors strive to provide the community with an arts center that allows both youth and adults to experience high-level instructions and develop their skills in a variety of art forms, with the ultimate goal of fostering a greater understanding and appreciation of the movement arts.
New England Movement Arts will be hosting its First Annual Back to School Bash on Saturday, September 6, 2014 from 11am-2pm. The Back to School Bash will be a fun-filled event, complete with bounce houses, obstacle courses, and games hosted by Sensei Nathan Porter; Ballet Master, Cosmin Marculetiu; and Fencing Olympian, Fritz Chang; among many other NEMA instructors.
The event will be open to the public and all games, activities, and food are completely of free charge.
