  • Today: Showers and a thunderstorm likely from 5 to 8 p.m. Hail is also possible. 15 mph winds. High of 86 degrees, low 59.
  • Friday: Sunny. High 77, low 58.

  • SHOWERS AND ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS ARE ALREADY BEGINNING TO DEVELOP SOUTH OF LONG ISLAND NEW YORK THIS MORNING. EARLY DAY CLOUDS WILL BEGIN TO GIVE WAY TO SUBSTANTIAL SUNSHINE BY LATE MORNING.
  • THE MAIN THREAT FROM THESE STORMS WILL BE THE POTENTIAL FOR LOCALIZED HEAVY RAINFALL AND DANGEROUS CLOUD TO GROUND LIGHTNING. HOWEVER..SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE POSSIBLE. THE BIGGEST CONCERN WOULD BE A LOCALIZED STRONG TO DAMAGING WIND GUST WITH HAIL A SECONDARY CONCERN.
  • IF YOU HAVE OUTDOOR PLANS KEEP UP WITH THE LATEST WEATHER FORECASTS. IF A THUNDERSTORM APPROACHES...SEEK AN INDOOR SHELTER IMMEDIATELY.
