Sign Up for Lexington's Martin Luther King Day of Service

January 19, 2015. Day starts at 11 a.m. at the Lexington Battle Green with march to Grace Chapel. Then continue on to your service activity!

Sign up at www.lexingtonmlk.org for a day of remembrance and community service! You can make a difference in a number of ways:

*Annual Unity Walk and Presentations. March together at 11:00 a.m. from Lexington’s historic Battle Green to Grace Chapel, and stay for a secular program of presentations and performances.

*Community Day at the Waltham YMCA. Treat homeless families to a day of sports, activities, learning programs, and refreshments.

*Valentine’s Day Cards. Hand-make beautiful cards for veterans, hospitalized patients, and others.

*Lunch wih Seniors. Gather and converse about the legacy of Dr. King with residents of Lexington’s Senior Villages.

*Clothing, Food, and Goods Donatioins. Organize and distribute essential goods for families in need.

*Birthday Wishes. Prepare materials for children whose families cannot afford to give them birthday parties.

Admission to all activities is free and open to the public. Donations (tax-deductible) are welcome. Make checks payable to the Town of Lexington, with MLK Celebration in the memo line, and mail to Town of Lexington, 1625 Mass Ave, Lexington, MA 02420.
