Skate Park Closed For Redevelopment In Lexington
The closure will stretch into the fall as a new skate park is built.
LEXINGTON, MA — Center Recreation Skate Park in Lexington will be closed for the next nine weeks.
The closure, which began Wednesday, is to allow for construction of a new skate park, according to the town.
The Skate Park is expected to reopen in late September or early October.

"We thank you in advance for your patience and understanding while the park is built," the town posted on Facebook.
The relocated skate park will be beyond the right field fence of the baseball field and next to Center Playground.

The new skate park will have brand-new equipment and a new concrete pad.
