LHS girls' team turn in fine week with a trio of key victories.
It’s that time of year when the winter high school athletic season winding down. But it’s also the time when the action can heat up the most.
On Tuesday, the Lexington High School girls’ indoor track and field team continued a spectacular season. The Minutemen beat Burlington High School at the LHS Fieldhouse .
Now, Lexington’s indoor team will prepare for the MIAA Division 1 meet, scheduled for next Friday.

The LHS girls’ hockey team was responsible for some fireworks of their own at the John P. Chase Skating Facility on Wednesday night. After letting a two-goal lead slip away, the Minutemen put away Stoneham High School with of the third quarter.
The victory keeps the Minutemen’s season-long hot streak going entering the home stretch of the regular season.

In keeping with the theme of the week, the Lexington girls’ basketball team on Friday night. The Minutemen led Melrose 19-7 after the first quarter, and held on for the win.
Lexington must now win two of its final three games to earn a spot in the MIAA North Division 1 sectional.
