Sports Week in Review, May 14 - May 20
Rain washes out all but a few games for Lexington athletic teams.

The seemingly nonstop rain that swept through the Northeast effectively wiped out much of the schedule for athletic teams this week.
However, the rain did little to slow the LHS boys’ lacrosse team. The Minutemen on Thursday afternoon. After leading much of the game, LHS allowed Winchester to tie the game in the fourth quarter, but Conor Henrie saved the day with a goal with 7 seconds remaining.
Also Thursday, the Minuteman boys’ track and field team of the season. LHS narrowly lost to Woburn by a 70-66 count.

Finally, with some good weather on Friday, the Lexington boys’ tennis team faced Watertown High School. Resting many of their top players, the Minutemen were still able to defeat the Raiders by a 5-0 sweep.
Also recently, two Lexington residents were by the Jack Grinold Eastern Massachusetts Chapter of the National Football Foundation. Lexington High senior Peter Crampton and Belmont Hill senior John Bergantino were among the 33 student-athletes to be recognized.
