The second season got under way this week, as athletic teams learned their seeding for the MIAA sectional tournaments and began play in the postseason, or at least tried to.
Late last week, the MIAA began releasing tournament seeding and pairing for wide range of sports. The Minutemen earned spots in the fields for , , and .
On Wednesday, the LHS girls’ lacrosse team tried to get in their North Division 1 First Round matchup against Central Catholic, but . After one half of play, the game was delayed nearly an hour by lightning and was ultimately suspended. It was completed on Friday afternoon.

The weather didn’t get in the way of the Minutemen’s softball tourney opener on Thursday. Lexington of Westford Academy and oust the Grey Ghosts from the postseason field.
On Saturday, there is a full slate of games for the Minutemen squads. Lexington’s baseball, softball, boys’ lacrosse and girls’ tennis teams will all be in action.
