Strawberries are the first local Massachusetts fruit to get ripe in June, and many local farms start their strawberry picking season this weekend.
There are several local pick-your-own strawberry farms in the Lexington area:

95 Farwell Rd., Tyngsborough
Strawberries are one of three native Bay State fruits, along with cranberries and blueberries.
