Support Team Jesi's Walk to Fight Leukemia & Lymphoma
Friends of Lexington Victim to Walk in her Memory on September 27 in Wakefield

Team Jesi will walk in support of Leukemia and Lymphoma patients and survivors again this year. Members of Jesi’s Lexington soccer team established Team Jesi in 2010 – the year Jesi was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia—as a way to show support for Jesi Watson in her courageous fight against cancer. Each year since 2010, Team Jesi has participated in the Leukemia and Lymphoma society’s “Light the Night Walk” in September. The team has raised more than $10,000 for leukemia and lymphoma research and victim support.
This year’s walk is especially meaningful because Jesi received a bone marrow transplant this spring, spent the summer struggling to recover in the hospital, and, sadly, lost her battle on September 11. Her mother, LIz Watson, requests:
“If you wish to help us honor Jesi’s memory, her strength and courage and amazing attitude through over four years of treacherous leukemia treatments, please consider walking or donating in the Light the Night walk in Wakefield on September 27th.”
