Surviving the Winter Blues: Coping with Less Light
Join Pam Wolfson of Wolfson Wellness Coaching as she highlights pro-active steps to beat the Winter Blues.
Do you get the winter "blahs" or blues? Every winter, we New Englanders must adjust to seasonal changes. This loss of light—not to mention cold and snow-- can have a profound effect on our mood. Many of us feel less energetic, miss nature's bright colors, and find ourselves unmotivated and prone to overeating. Tonight we will get perspective on Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD). We will discuss pro-active steps you can take to boost your energy. These include light therapy, nutrition, exercise, visual art and medications. You will come away with a clear set of actions steps to boost your mood.
This class will meet on Monday, January 14th from 7:00-9:00pm at Lexington High School. The cost is $25/Seniors $20. (Seniors are age 65+).
