Town Fund Grant Applications Available

Nonprofits serving Lexington or Wellesley encouraged to apply

The Foundation for MetroWest is pleased to announce the availability of grant funds through the Community Endowment of Lexington and The Fund for Wellesley. Nonprofit organizations serving the towns of Lexington and Wellesley are strongly encouraged to apply. The deadline to apply is March 19, 2015. Decisions will be announced May 11, 2015.

The Community Endowment of Lexington (CEL), an endowed fund of the Foundation for MetroWest, is a permanent source of funding to support community needs and opportunities, and provides ways for donors to give back or leave a legacy in Lexington. CEL’s mission supports programs and services that help make life healthier and more enjoyable for all Lexington citizens.

CEL grants will target four areas of need: health and human services, arts and culture, ecological well-being, and community building. Grant proposals up to $10,000 from qualifying organizations will be considered. To access the selection criteria, eligibility and application, visit www.foundationformetrowest.org/celgrants.

The mission of the Fund for Wellesley (FFW), an endowed fund of the Foundation for MetroWest, is to promote the common good and to benefit all residents of the town. The Fund for Wellesley serves as a permanent source of funding to foster innovation and collaboration in support of community needs and opportunities.

The Fund for Wellesley will target programs that enhance the ability of all Wellesley residents to more fully participate in the community. Proposals will be considered in a broad range of areas including health, human services, education, recreation, and arts and culture.
