When Do We Turn the Clocks Forward for Daylight Saving Time?

Here’s a piece of news we all deserve in Massachusetts—clocks will soon spring forward.
Daylight Saving Time starts on Sunday, March 8 at 2 a.m. It ends Nov. 1.

In a little more than a month, we’ll have sun shining after 7 p.m.—if you can believe it after the past month of weather we’ve experienced.

- March 8 -- 6:42 p.m.
- March 15 -- 6:50 p.m.
- March 22 -- 6:58 p.m.
- March 29 -- 7:06 p.m.
Boston officially crossed the 100-inch snow mark this week in only the second time on record and we’re only a few inches away from the snowiest winter on record.
The only negative about changing the clocks is that it might be dark when you wake up. Sunrise on March 8 will be 7:09 a.m., but on March 14 sunrise will be back before 7 a.m.
