Whipple Hill Restoration Project Starts In Lexington
The project includes replacing a pedestrian footbridge and restoring a washed-out portion of the trail.

LEXINGTON, MA – The Whipple Hill conservation area restoration project began Monday, Aug. 20. While work is conducted in the area, parking and trail access to Whipple Hill at Summer Street will be temporarily closed.
Here is what the project entails:
- Restoration of approximately 240 feet of embankment
- Removal of a redundant, stone stream-crossing in Whipple Brook
- Replacement of an existing wooden pedestrian footbridge stream-crossing
- Restoration of washed-out portion of trail
Whipple Hill may be accessed on Winchester Drive in Lexington and Skyline Drive in Arlington.
