Arrest Made, But Thieves Still Targeting Cars

Lynnfield Police responded to these and other calls for service on Wednesday, July 31 and Thursday, August 1.

On Wednesday, July 31 at 3:03 a.m. police arrested an individual and charged him in connection with a vehicle break-in. Full information is available in this previous police log from earlier in the week. Along with the previously mentioned arrest of Dennis Caulfield, 22, 24 Estes Street, Lynn, on charges of breaking and entering in the nighttime for a felony, and possession of a Class C drug, police also issued a summons to him on one count of receiving stolen property over $250 and four counts of receiving stolen property under $250, subsequent offense.
At 8:30 a.m. a motor vehicle break-in was reported on Taylor Terrace.
At 9 a.m. a Crest Road resident reported a vehicle break-in. Nothing was taken.
At 9:30 a.m. an Otter Pond Road resident reported a vehicle break-in. Nothing was reported taken.
At 10:22 a.m. a Ross Drive resident called to report that a neighbor had called yelling at him for playing loud music.
At 2 p.m. a Todd Lane resident reported a vehicle break-in, with an iPod, headphones and change reported stolen.
At 4:02 p.m. a vehicle break-in was reported on Summer Street with some change reported stolen.
At 5:17 p.m. an accident was reported at Goodwin's Circle.
At 8:36 p.m. a caller reported a party boat with  no lights was out on Pillings Pond.
At 10:05 p.m. a suspicious auto was reported on Chatham Way. It was gone on arrival.

On Thursday, August 1 at 5:01 p.m. a domestic disturbance was reported on Charing Cross.
At 5:39 p.m. landscaping tools were reported in the road on Elizabeth Way.
At 10:06 p.m. police and rescue personnel responded to Lynnfield Commons for a report of a child having a peanut allergy reaction.
At 10:12 p.m. a group of youths were reported in a yard on Apple Hill Lane. They were gone on arrival.
