Drug Violation and Suspected Copper Thief Reported

Lynnfield Police responded to these and other calls for service on Wednesday, June 12 and Thursday, June 13.

On Wednesday, June 12 at 10:50 a.m. a hit and run accident was reported on Lovell Road.
At 2:10 p.m. a caller reported a woman appeared to be crying on Walnut Street. She turned out to have had an argument with her boyfriend and got a ride from the state police.
At 2:32 p.m. a drug violation was reported on Ross Drive. Police issued a summons to an 18 year old Chelsea man for possession of a Class D substance, and to a 19 year old Chelsea man for possession of a class D substance.
At 4:52 p.m. a solicitor was reported on Windsor Road. Police advised him to get a permit from the town.

On Thursday, June 13 at 8:43 a.m. a road range incident was reported that turned out to have occurred in Saugus.
At 10:35 a.m. two boxes were reported in the road on Thistle Lane, apparently having fallen from a truck.
At 11:40 a.m. a Lake Street resident called about a car speeding on the road.
At 11:41 a.m. police were called to the MarketStreet Lynnfield construction site over a worker who was thought to be trying to steal some copper.
At 11:49 a.m. a man was reported sleeping in his car on Townsend Road. He was gone on arrival.
At 12:56 p.m. a dog was reportedly running in and out of traffic on Walnut Street.
At 2 p.m. an accident was reported that turned out to be in Saugus.
At 2:40 p.m. police took a call about a woman who was sitting in the hallway in apartments on Newhall Street.
