LCC Parishioners Volunteer At Paulist Center In Boston
Service opportunity a reminder that church extends beyond the doors of our building.
Parishioners from St. Maria Goretti and Our Lady of the Assumption in Lynnfield volunteered Aug. 15 at the Paulist Center's "Wednesday Night Supper Club" near the Boston Common. Every Wednesday evening, volunteers serve hot meals, free of charge, to 160-200 homeless men and women in the Paulist Center's downstairs hall.
Pam Guerrieo, Lynnfield Catholic Collaborative's Faith Formation Coordinator for Grades 7-10, said she organized this outreach "as a service opportunity that families could participate in together, and to continue to remind us that our church extends beyond the doors of our building."
